We wanted something a bit different and interesting.
We decided to use reclaimed wood for our project because we wanted something a bit different and interesting. Eden was very friendly and helpful. We were able to bring a piece of the wood home to check it with other items we were planning to use. Overall, we are very pleased.
We could not be happier with how everything turned out.
We built a custom home this year and we were looking some material to use on the ceiling of our front porch. We stumbled upon Southend Reclaimed in Davidson by accident. While driving through the town, we noticed their showroom. We stopped, but they were closed. When we walked up to the front door, we noticed the antique barnwood on their porch ceiling. We also peeked into the window to see all the other material that they had on display in their showroom. We were like kids in a candy store.
We scheduled an appointment for the following week, and we were not disappointed. The showroom featured many different types of material to include in our home. We did not want to use basic beadboard or readily available trim material. We wanted something different and unique for our new home. The people at Southend were very knowledgeable and helped us plan for the right material in the right location in our home. We ended up choosing antique barnwood for our porch ceiling, giant timbers for our fireplace mantles, 1” x 10” material to wrap the beams in our family room ceiling and some gray barnwood for an accent wall in our mud room. We also ended up adding same material for a wainscoting in our powder room
We had a little glitch during construction when some of the material was unavailable. The people at Southend worked very hard to come up with an alternative solution and we were not delayed.
We could not be happier with how everything turned out. We got some very cool material for our home at reasonable prices and the team at Southend made the whole experience worthwhile. It can be very nerve wracking when you build a new home, but our experience was great, and we could not be happier with how it turned out.
Puts the other rooms to shame.
My only regret is I didn’t use this wood for the other floors I did. Puts the other rooms to shame. No comparison. The flooring came out beautiful! The character really sets it apart from any other flooring I ever had installed. Truly, the room looks great. Thank you. If I had to do it over I wouldn’t change a thing and if I had to redo my other pine floors I would re-do it with this type of reclaimed wood.
My wife got home last night and saw the room for the 1st time and furniture in place. She absolutely loves the flooring. And we looked at the heart pine flooring in the hallway and our bedroom and got to thinking… Agreed, no comparison. The reclaimed wood is far nicer!
Should the need to buy more flooring arise, I hope you will have me as a customer again.
It was a bold choice, but we cannot imagine any other flooring in our award winning home.
First, we wanted something truly unique that was not too rustic and not too modern…something that could go with our honed marble countertops as well as our gas lanterns from New Orleans and French La Cornue cooker. We also wanted something durable that could take a beating as we have two young kids and dogs. While our home is only 25 years old, we wanted an authentic appearance that would not look dated. We visited the Southend Concept Cottage and fell in love with the Original Face Oak Flooring because it is durable, has stood the test of time and has tremendous character. On today’s pre-finished, glossy floors, scratches tend to stand out. On our floors, any abuse from day to day life simply adds to the original patina. The finish that we selected has proven to be extremely durable and has already withstood wine parties, kid messes and kitchen spills. Nearly every guest that we welcome into our home immediately comments on the floors before anything else. It was a bold choice, but we cannot imagine any other flooring in our award winning home.
You don’t get the same experience looking at swatches or sample boards.
This house was built in the 80’s. It doesn’t have ten foot ceilings like some new homes do, but we wanted to make a statement. We were drawn to reclaimed materials for our renovation project because they have so much character and charm, like the saw marks on our floors and the tool marks on our beams. Paul was extremely knowledgeable and we loved going to the showroom to see all of the examples put together. You don’t get the same experience looking at swatches or sample boards.
Reclaimed wood wall sets the tone for our studio!
Our reclaimed wood wall from Southend Reclaimed sets the tone for our studio as it is the first thing you see when you walk in. It projects a rustic, cool image for HSM | Core and is a fantastic backdrop for client photos.
Add that spark to your home that no one will miss!
The place to come to add that spark to your home that no one will miss!
We couldn’t be happier with the product or experience.
I can’t say enough good things about this business! We absolutely love our vintage windows and they are the staple of the decor in our salon. Working with Southend Reclaimed was easy and personal. They worked hard to find the perfect pieces for our space and took great care in getting them to us from Connecticut. We couldn’t be happier with the product or experience.
We could not have been more pleased with the entire process.
When building our custom home, my wife and I searched around and found out about Southend Reclaimed for some rustic barn wood in our kitchen. After looking at their showroom, we decided to go even further, and do beams, and barn wood throughout the house. We could not have been more pleased with the entire process. From ordering, to delivery, to the finish product, everything went very smoothly, and we are beyond happy at how everything turned out. We get tons of compliments on how awesome everything looks.
